3:45 to 5:00

departure of children, arrival of school-age children, snack time, infant activities, outdoor play, babies are fed bottles.

Diaper changes are done before and after nap and on an as-needed basis throughout the day.

We have a structured ‘music hour’ every Wednesday during the school year. The children learn songs, instruments, taking turns and following instructions. Very young children are able to participate during this time.

If you call me during the day it is possible that you will have to leave a message and I will call you back. If you don’t expect me to return your call, please tell me that when you leave your message.

There are no planned activities during the summer months however we do follow a daily routine that includes a lot of free play. Free play encourages imagination and strong socialization skills. Numbers, alphabet, etc. are reviewed on a casual basis.

For the safety of the children I keep the daycare door locked when everyone is inside.

We watch very little television here. The TV is on from 7:00 – 8:00a.m., sometimes right before lunch (if the toys are picked up quickly beforehand) and during naptime. We watch G-rated movies and cartoon channels (i.e.: Cartoon Network, Disney, Nickelodeon and channels 11, 12 and 13) Occasionally, your child may bring a movie for the daycare children to enjoy as long as it is rated ‘G’.
