I provide nutritious
meals and snacks for children who are in attendance at that time. I do
not serve breakfast because the younger children have a very difficult
time waiting 4 hours until lunch. The school-age children have the
opportunity of participating in the breakfast program at school. Morning
snack is usually provided between 8:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. for
those who do not attend school. During the summer
months our morning
snack time tends to be a little later. All children must eat breakfast
before arriving; this includes infants who have started solid foods. No
food or drink of any kind is to be brought into the daycare unless it is
packaged and there is enough for all of the children. We will share it
during a meal or a snack. If you child is finishing their breakfast in
the car be sure they finish it completely and leave bottles, cups and
any unfinished food item, in the car. Baby food and formula are to be
parent-provided. Children must arrive by 12:00 p.m. to eat lunch.
Children may not have thirds on any lunch item until all of their lunch
has been eaten. No seconds are offered at snack time since snacks are
provided just to “tide them over” until mealtime.
